theCL talked me into becoming a blogger for this site. I have known him for more than 10 years and we've discussed politics, religion, taxes, gun rights, gay marriage and much, much more.
We agree on some things and disagree on others but we always keep it civil. When you visit his site The Classic Liberal you will see he takes a harder stance on politicians than I do and I appreciate his work.
I am critical of failing politicians (hear that, Gov. Jennifer Granholm) but The CL often looks beyond what is happening to uncover the true reasons why our elected officials do what they do.
One of his recent posts is a great example of the hidden agendas politicians have.
The Democrats are going to use prohibition induced violence to take away our gun rights. Because only criminals should be allowed to have guns or drugs.
I have been saying for several decades that drug prohibition would lead to gun prohibition. Way to go Conservatives. Because like you know. Prohibition works.
