Police Officers Association of Michigan Honors McCotter with Congressional Achievement Award

Washington, D.C. - Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI), today will receive the Police Officers Association of Michigan's (POAM) Congressional Achievement Award. The award is given to select Members of the United States Congress who have portrayed exemplary leadership in support of the law enforcement community.

"Our law enforcement officers risk their lives to protect ours. I am honored and humbled by their recognition."

POAM, with over 14,000 members, is committed to supporting the law enforcement community and its dedicated officers in their continuing effort to protect and serve the people of Michigan. POAM members share a common dedication to fair and effective crime control and law enforcement, while continually striving to protect and improve the safety, economic security, and working conditions for police officers and all the citizens across the great state of Michigan.
