shock-face by jannemeiHas the world gone crazy? We have Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (third in command in this country) telling illegal immigrants they are patriotic and our government coming out with a survey explaining who might be a domestic terrorist. So, people who shouldn't be here are okay, but the LEGAL citizens should be worried about the government watching them because they may have voted for Ron Paul?

Read what theCL has to say about that gem.

Congress is ignoring the Constitution as it tries to implement a retroactive tax on AIG officials that received bonuses the Obama administration not only knew about but approved.

The Fed has dumped a freshly printed a TRILLION  dollars in the marrket and only Glenn Beck reported on it. The rest of the mainstream media is too busy worshipping Obama to report this kind of stuff. This act could collapse the economy and destroy the dollar.

As the country is faced with one of the worst economic conditions in the past 50 years, our president is making media rounds like he is still campaigning for the job. If former President Bush appeared on "The Tonight Show" during such hard times, MSNBC, The New York Times and their ilk would be falling over themselves to be the first to say he doesn't care about the people.

Detroit is suffering with 22% unemployment while the City Council is busy singing at meetings, not doing its job and blowing an opportunity to get $288 million to save Cobo as the building is literally crumbling and there is no money in the coffers to fix it.

Gov. Jennifer Granholm... she's still in charge here. That's bad enough.

We need to wake up. There have been Tea Parties across the country protesting our government's over-taxing, out-of-control-spending and doing a lousy job. We need more protests, more outrage from the people and more accountability from our elected officials. They just don't get it.

There is a Tea Party planned in Lansing on April 15 and I plan to be there. I hope you will make it. I hope  to ahve more details in a future post. If you can't wait, google it.

Will it do any good? It can if it leads to enough people getting involved and letting their displeasure be known.

What have we become? This country was founded by people that loved freedom, wanted small government, vowed to give its citizens a voice and hated oppression.

We have leaders that just don't understand the troubles we are going through. Throwing money at every problem is not the answer. We need responsible governement at the local, state and federal levels. Every elected official needs to be held accountable for his or her job performance.

These are scary times and we don't need handouts, we need opportunities. We need policies that encourage job creation, not endless money dumping into pork projects and useless ideas. Seriously, billions of government dollars to develop electric cars? It hurts my head to think about it.

The Tea Party is important and I hope our local media decides to cover it.

Until next time, enjoy Michigan and plan to attend the Tea party. We can make a difference.

I just ready your article on the internet and was impressed with your awareness of our current state of affairs. While I’m not living in Michigan, your comments apply to the entire country. I, too, agree that our country is headed for disaster while our inept, incompetent, bumbling congress has literally no idea of what to do. They are nothing but a self-serving group of idiots who should be tarred and feathered and ran out of the country. I also think the two-party system should be abolished. All they do is spend their time fighting with each other, like kids. They couldn’t make a decent decision if they had to…Keep up the good work and good luck.
