Steve over at The Motor City Times, has bestowed upon me, your humble host (theCL), a very special award. I must tell you though, I'm a little misty-eyed, choked-up, and due to my incredible jealousy of Hollywood-types, my acceptance speech may very well run late into the night ...
Okay, okay, so it's not all that dramatic. The award I received ... (drum-roll please) ... The Honest Scrap Award! It's a major award, really ...
Winning the award requires me to share "10 honest things" about myself, and then bestow the award upon 7 other bloggers. So without further ado ...

- I'm incredibly handsome!
Cut! Cut! Hold the phone ... honest answers please, honest answers ... Take Two.
- I'm (I can say it now) 40 years old.
- I author another blog, The Classic Liberal Blog. An old-right/traditional-conservative/libertarian blog (whatever you'd like to call it).
- I love music. Although I listen to quite an eclectic mix of styles, my emphasis is hard rock. And yes, being a kid from the eighties, I'm proud to say, I'm still a complete Metallica freak!
- I played a lot of music as a kid. I was really good too. When I was in the 10th grade, I held first-chair in my high-school band (grades 10-12), even though I was the only student who never took his instrument home to practice. Then I quit ...
- I have a strong interest in teaching myself electric guitar, which I will certainly do.
- I'm single (no kids), but I have 2 adorable nieces and 1 awesome nephew, whom I love dearly. I also include my cousins kids (3 girls, 2 boys) and my friends kids (1 boy and 1 girl) as my nieces and nephews too (whom I also adore every bit as much).
- I love pizza! I eat so much of it, I consider myself a pizza-connoisseur. So I can say to you with confidence, Michigan truly has some of the best pizza anywhere! (Yes, better than NY and Chicago).
- I was a stockbroker for oh, 12 years or so, receiving my training on Wall Street (more specifically, The World Trade Center).
- After that, I went to work as a Senior Loan Officer for a large publicly-traded bank. (Yes, I've been deep in the trenches of 2 "bubbles").
- I have attention deficit disorder (ADHD). For those of you who don't "believe" in ADHD ... I've got news for ya, it's real!
So there you have it! Not just 10 random facts, but 10 personal facts about my favorite subject - me!
Alright, it's time for the next Awards Ceremony ...
I am honored and priviledge to present The Honest Scrap Award to ...
- Michigan J. Blogger - Michigan Blogger's own Chief Journalist, Editor, and Writer-Extraordinaire!
- J. Gillman Jr. of Michigan Taxes Too Much fame!
- Sending one out to our brother-in-arms on the Left-Coast, I hereby award BoomerJeff of Liberty Works!
- Please congratulate ... the wonderful and gracious Michigan Redneck!
- Making sure we keep our Gillman's straight, please welcome Jason Gillman of Toxic Taxation and the Recall Posse!
- Rougman of the infamous Rougblog! I have to wonder ... will he wear more than just his boxers to the ceremony?
- And our final award of the evening goes to ... (drum-roll please) ... Sarita, The Kalamazoo Objectivist!
Thank you, thank you ... drive safely, and have a good night!

Jason,
Please forgive my confusion. While I know I read both of you, I admit to not always knowing which Gillman is who. I’ll update the post accordingly.

hehehe.. Much Obliged.
OK Junior has had some good stuff going on at http://Michigantaxes.com/wordpress, but the Posse, he has not yet seen. Appreciate the attention, as I fully intend to turn the recall posse idea (original concept by Jeff McQueen – I don’t steal anyone’s thunder) into a functional trouble making element.
