WARNING: The following video, filmed at the Washington D.C. Tea Party Protest on July 4th, 2009, contains shocking footage!

It is advised that you be in good health, take a deep-breathe, and sit in a comfortable position before attempting to watch this shocking video ... of honest media coverage.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The following video contains honest media coverage of the Tea Party Protest, sympathetically addresses the participants concerns, and doesn't even try to paint the peaceful protestors as racists and/or terrorists.  Please watch the video, you've gotta see it for yourself!

H/T Left Coast Rebel!

I've gotta say ... That's the best coverage of the Tea Party movement I've seen out of anyone in the mainstream State-Run Media to date!  Don't you think so too?

Oh, wait a minute ... hold on here ... Russia Today ... Hmmm ....

Okay, now it's all starting to make sense (I think).  This report wasn't produced by anyone in the American media, it was produced by the Russian media group Russia Today!

To say we're living in The Twilight Zone is putting it mildly.  We now live in a world were we get nothing but lies and propaganda out of the State's organs, while turning to Russia for insight and honesty.

Makes you miss Ronald Reagan, doesn't it?  In large thanks to him, the people of Russia are free to cover the news as they see it, while here in America, the Czars are censoring free speech!

When I was a kid, I always made sure to watch Ray Charles any time he was on TV.  So please enjoy his brilliant rendidtion of America the Beautiful, as you continue your journey ... into The Twilight Zone.

Make sure to check out all the coverage on Michigan's Tea Party Protests!

You know … this is a good reminder too, about people and governments.

Throughout various posts, as well as in comments across the fruited inner-tube plains, I like to point out things like “America is not the government,” or that “conservative is not synonymous with Republican” … and too often my point is misunderstood (in which I’ll take full blame, for lack of communication skills).

The above video, or the freedom-protestors in Iran for example, serve as a friendly reminder to us all … People are not their government!

Do I hate communist regimes? Absolutely! Dictators and tyrants of all kinds? Indubitably! But let’s never confuse our contempt for government, with our thoughts and opinions about the people who live under the regimes. As the lyrics of a song by a favorite bands of mine says:

    People are people
    So why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully

Hate government, not people. Hate progressive policies and tyrants, not their constituency …

I never though I’d see the day when you would have to watch Russia Today, or read the Telegraph UK to get a more accurate picture of what is going on in our own country.

I always liked the Ray Charles rendition of America The Beautiful…
