I make my view on abortion no secret. It is killing.
So when I heard Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was going to be in a pro-life commercial on the Super Bowl - telling the story about how doctors told his mom to kill him in the womb because he may have been born with a defect - I was happy someone was finally stepping up and saying it is ok to have a baby instead of killing it.
I also knew Tebow and Focus on the Family - the group behind the ad - would be attacked as women haters and intolerant.
Guess what? I was right. "The O'Reilly Factor" had Jehmu Green, a supposed women's rights activist, on the other day and she called Focus on the Family intolerant. She bashed their point of view and said they shouldn't be allowed to express their opinion, which I imagine is the textbook definition of intolerance. However, because Green is an extreme liberal, she can be intolerant and no one cares.
I expected Green and her ilk to be afraid that Tebow's mom would use her "choice" to keep her baby because that might cast a shadow of guilt on the women who use abortion as birth control and not "health care".
While I expected the attacks on Tebow and insults thrown at his mother for daring to have a child that could have had birth defects or worse, I didn't expect what came out of "The View's" Joy Behar's mouth. If you ever listened to Behar, you know she is capable of much ignorance. Her constant ill-informed slams on George Bush proves that.
This time, Behar launched into a new stratosphere of stupidity when she said the argument against Tebow's mom having Tim was he could have "just as easily turned out to "some kind of rapist pedophile" instead of a good person.
Ummmmm... WHAT! Her argument against Tebow's birth is he could have been a rapist pedophile? According to her reasoning, then aborting every baby is a good idea because he or she could end up doing something bad.
I don't know what is worse, Behar's logic or the fact there are other who believe her nonsense.
The problem with the abortion controversy is there is a group that says it is killing and a group that tries to deny that fact and cover it up by saying it is a woman's right to choose. Every woman has a right to choose. When she chooses to have sex, she could end up with a baby. People need to realize there are consequences to our choices. Even if it means having a baby.
Unless you think like Joy Behar. She thinks babies can turn into bad people so killing them in the womb is OK.

I have heard a lot of excuses for the murder that is called abortion, but that has to be the worst one yet. I wonder if these people have ever listened to themselves talk? If they did, they would realize how stupid and ignorant something like that sounds.
Good article.
