Today, it seems like everyone believes last Tuesday was a millennia ago, and somehow, some way, it's all different than it ever was before.
Mention the dictatorial presidency of Woodrow Wilson for example, and people brush it off like it's ancient history or something. Man, that was 100 years ago, don't cha know?
However, my grandparents were alive during Wilson's administration. So when you put it into that perspective, it wasn't that long ago at all.
233 years ago isn't exactly ancient history either. In the grand scheme of things ... 1776 was just last Tuesday.
The only real difference between living in 1776 and today, is technology. Meaning our Founding Fathers knew what they were talking about, nor did they fail by limiting the government. And in not listening to them ... Look at the abusive government we have today.
Tears welled for Stephen Bolick as he described the incident and losing a son who “would never hurt anybody.”
“When he came into my house, he was alive,” Bolick said. “When he came out he was dead.”
Matthew Bolick, an emotionally troubled 30-year old suffered a breakdown of some kind on November 12, and crashed through a ground-floor picture window injuring himself. His father Stephen called 911 for help, saying "I need to get this kid to the hospital." The Grand Rapids police soon showed up.
According to the "official account," Matthew (5' 6" and only 135 pounds) "assaulted" one of the 2 "veteran" officers, so they shot him with a taser. The first shot had "no apparent effect," so they shot him 2 or 3 more times.
The loss of a child is one of the worst things that can ever happen to a parent. May God comfort Stephen Bolick and the rest of Matthew’s family. And may the rest of us learn that armed government "authorities" who are trained to kill and view the rest of us as the enemy, is not what America was supposed to be about.
